Therapy for Individual adults
& couples
I tailor therapeutic interventions to each individual person based on their desired outcomes and ability to tolerate feedback. I believe there is not one right way to work with a client in therapy. I will often interweave different therapies or make adjustments if clients are not satisfied with their progress.
Interventions that I provide include the following:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Therapy that offers a different perspective from an identified thought, feeling, or behavior. General reframe is given in order to promote behavior change.
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT): Therapy that teaches skills to better manage emotions, communicate effectively, and be more mindful.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): A trauma therapy that uses bilateral stimulation to rewire trauma memories.
- Internal Family Systems IFS: Therapy that communicates with different parts of self to identify protective parts that interfere with our ability to be our true selves.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI): A therapy that uses the relationship between therapist and client to help the client identify their own ideas about how to change behavior.
- Gottman Method: Couples therapy techniques to promote trust, safety, and open communication in relationships.
For individual counseling I accept private pay, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Independent Health.
For couples counseling I accept private pay only at $150 session.
